Gibonni closes this year’s Poreč Open Air
The long-awaited concert performance by Gibonni, which was supposed to close the curtains on this year’s Poreč Open Air Festival tomorrow, has been postponed until September 21st (Thursday) due to adverse weather conditions. The music programme on the waterfront will begin at 20:30 with an energetic performance by The A!, who will ignite the atmosphere and warm up the crowd for the timeless classics penned by the legendary Croatian songwriter and multiple Porin Award winner. Gibonni will cap off another successful Festival of Life, which has entertained the residents of Poreč and its visitors all summer long, with an unforgettable concert.
This singer, songwriter and lyricist from Split is adored by the audience, who delightedly receive every song, and the setlist he has prepared for Thursday will include an array of hits that have topped all the charts in Croatia, including Činim pravu stvar, Oprosti and Sreća.
For the second year in a row, the streets and squares of Poreč were imbued with a unique festival spirit, and the city was taken over by a slew of excellent musicians, performers and entertainers. Since June 23rd, Poreč has been a large outdoor stage, while the almost 50,000 visitors who visited last year’s festival, as well as the Capra d’Oro (“Golden Goat“) Award in the festival category given by the Istria Tourist Board, give credence to the merit of the festival. After some truly amazing musical performances as part of the Street Music programme, unforgettable concerts provided by the World Stage programme, Open Air Cinema movie screenings, the Princess Ball for the youngest visitors, the Istra Inspirit experience for all ages and the impressive acrobatic acts by limber circus performers during the Circus in the City programme, Gibonni will provide the people of Poreč and its visitors with a bona fide musical treat to remember.
