Six days of top notch entertainment at the Street Art Festival
As part of the Poreč Open Air festival, the 17th Street Art Festival will take place in the streets and squares of Poreč from Thursday, August 24th, to Tuesday, August 29th. Over six days, the residents of and visitors to Poreč will be able to enjoy attractive shows, performances and concerts by artists from Croatia, Australia and Great Britain.
The merry performances will take place at Trg Slobode, Matija Gubec Park, the Lapidarium of the Poreč Heritage Museum and the city’s farmers’ market, while the Lungomare will act as the perfect backdrop for musical performances as a magical sunset unfolds around you. For this occasion, the Poreč market will be transformed into the Music Market, where visitors will be given an extraordinary musical treat every morning, such as the Gypsy Dub Sound System from Australia, who will be performing at the Lapidarium on Monday, August 28th. The final day of the festival will see the British artist Maya Petrovna perform at the Lap in the surreal opera Futura Monomania, while Matija Gubec Park will be illuminated with installations from the Visualia festival in Pula for three days in a row. On the last day of the festival, the Australian musical virtuoso Trevor Brown will be performing on the promenade against a magical sunset.
On Friday and Saturday, passers-by at Trg Slobode will be entertained by the nimble acrobatics of the artists collectively known as Kam Hram, while the acrobats CirkoBalkana, who are already quite familiar to the audience visiting Circus in the City, will be performing on Sunday and Monday. The Rhapsody Guitar concert is scheduled at the same location for Monday with performances by young musicians aged 10 to 20 who are attending the Classical Guitar Summer School.
